Eileen's Christmas Pud Gin - 700ml

In 1955, Stuart's Grandmother, Eileen MacKenzie, won a gold medal at the Melbourne Royal Show for her Christmas pudding. A slightly edited version was then printed in the Australian Women's Weekly magazine. Taking the original recipe, Stuart has created a delicious, full-flavoured Christmas gin, keeping her legacy alive.

Each year, we eagerly await the release of Eileen's Christmas Pud Christmas Gin, an award-winning spirit that pays homage to Eileen's original pudding recipe. While the core ingredients remain unchanged, we continually explore aging techniques to enhance the flavour profile of our award-winning Christmas gin.

For our 2023 release, we embarked on a unique journey by aging our Christmas gin in two distinctive barrels, resulting in a truly exceptional experience.

To create this year's Eileen's Christmas Pud Christmas Gin, we first aged it in an American Oak barrel, infusing the gin with rich, complex flavours. We then transferred the golden goodness to an ex-French Oak barrel that was used for South Australian Tawny Port, giving our Christmas gin a little sweetness and subtle warmth. Then, we transferred it to an ex-Spanish Pedro Ximenez sherry barrel, where the magic truly unfolded. The marriage of these three barrel types imparted a symphony of flavours, amplifying the beautiful Christmas notes and sweetening the fruity aromas to perfection.

The result is nothing short of delicious – a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation that captures the essence of the holiday season. Eileen's Christmas Pud Christmas Gin promises to delight the senses and elevate your holiday celebrations.

Every pudding also needs to be accompanied by something sweet. Eileen's favourite was a delicious vanilla custard. This year, we added extra vanilla and a spicy custom cherry liqueur using the best of last year's Adelaide Hills cherries.

Family means everything to us at Little Juniper, so we were proud to release this limited Eileen's Christmas Pud Christmas Gin for the first time in 2022. Her beautiful smile lives on.
